Mudbound

On December 19th, 2013 my mom had a seizure and spent a week in a coma. Because of this, I decided to drop out of school for at least the spring semester. While there is normally a couple hundred dollars left over from my school's financial aid, I decided taking care of my mom was a higher priority than some money that would normally just be for commuting expenses anyway.

We couldn't keep Mom in our care because our apartment was not accessible to her. Because of this, the only place that can keep my mom is a nursing home where my mom's diet is ignored and she is bullied by some of the staff. We decided to move out, but after being scammed out of our best choices, and after being homeless for about a month, we finally found a gutted out trailer. We bought it, but now we're broke. Everyone's jobs in the family are seasonal jobs, which don't have hours in the summer.

Before my mom can move in, we need to have a ramp built to the porch. And before we can have a ramp built for us, our home needs to be acceptable for our mom to live in. While we finally have internet and some electricity, we still need to fix the wiring and pipes. This will cost money that we won't have for another month at best, as we still have to pay rent on the lot.
I'm hoping to cover the more minor costs, so the people with better resumes can focus on the important things. I've given up on the rainy day car repair funds for now.
